September Favorites

Casually says this every month, but I cannot believe September is over. It really does feel like yesterday August was over. I don't know how to describe this month. Lots of ups and a few horrible downs. I am glad this month is over though because October is my favorite month of the year.

Before we get too ahead of ourselves, here are my favorites from this month:

Monograms on Monograms | I got my rain jacket from Marley Lilly and my necklace from Bluetique. I am so in love with both of them. The jacket is so warm, and the necklace is my favorite shade of blue.

Faith | This month has been huge for me on trying to build my faith. I am super happy with the way I am going, and I hope that October brings more self discovery for me.

Natalie | Can a person be one of my favorites? I don't care because Natalie is one them this month. She has been my rock for the past couple of weeks, and I am so blessed that I have a best friend like her in my life. It's hard to imagine a life where I hadn't met her, but I am so glad I did.

Brooklyn 99 | So what this came back on Sunday? It is still a favorite. I've missed this show so much, and it was just as funny as I remembered it.

Five Things to Do in Atlanta

I am absolutely obsessed with Atlanta. I live about thirty minutes from there, and every time we go I fall more in love with it. Here are five things to do while in Atlanta:

Braves Games | I am not a Braves fan, and I don't really like Turner Field all that much, but I love going to games. I love seeing the skyline from the field, and I especially enjoy when I get to watch the Braves lose. SunTrust Park (the new stadium) will be opened in two years, and it will be in Gwinnett which kinda sucks since it's further away.

Georgia Aquarium | I've been here two times, and I always want to go back. The aquarium is HUGE, and so much fun. In my opinion, it's so much better than the Tennessee one.

Mary Mac's | Oh my gosh, if there is one restaurant you go to Atlanta, go here. Mary Mac's has so much history to it, and the best southern food in Atlanta. Just note that buttered peas aren't what you think they are.

Fox Theater | If you are in Atlanta, you need to go to theater. It's absolutely magical, and I wish I went more. I saw Les Mis on stage there, and Enchanted was played there once. I feel like it's a whole different world.

High Museum of Art | I used to go here all the time when I was younger because my sister volunteered there. I love looking at all the different paintings and exhibits, but I may be biased because I love seeing the painting of my grandmother there.

Sundial Restaurant | I've only been here once when I was in eighth grade, and I honestly can't really remember how good the food was. But one thing is for sure... The view is amazing. It's totally worth the slightly terrifying feeling of falling since you are so high up.

Spirit Week 2014

Y'all, last week was my favorite week of the entire school year... SPIRIT WEEK. (Some find this sad that my favorite week happens in September, but whatevs...) I love planning my costumes a year in advance, and I love seeing what other people plan.

The days went like this...
'Merica Monday // Tacky Twin Tuesday // Character Day  // #Throwback Thursday // Spirit Day

Shirt: Homemade // Shorts: Vintage // Shoes: Sperry // Necklace: Lizard Thicket

Shirt: Kroger // Shorts: Vintage // Shoes: Keds (not shown)

Shirt: Target // Skirt: Old Navy // Shoes: Courtesy of Emma's closet // Ears: Disney

Sweatershirt: Mom's // Jeans: Old Navy // Shoes: Keds

Sammie wasn't my actual twin, but we were both wearing shirts from our rival high school! (A ton of people were.)

I Don't Want This Night to End

I spent the entire week debating whether or not to go to Homecoming. I am so glad I did especially in light of recent news. Spending time with my best friends (minus Tori) was so amazing. The night definitely took everything that has been happening off my mind. I am so lucky I have friends like these.

I don't want to delve into too many details especially when everything is so uncertain, but sometimes these things just hit you from the back of the head, and then come around and proceed to punch you in stomach.

I don't deal well with change. At all. I am very okay with everything staying the same forever. (Except social issues. I am all for change there.) But in my personal life, I'd rather things never change. But the thing is... I cannot change change. No matter what happens in the next two weeks and the next three months, I cannot change it. Life will get tough, but I will get going.

I am praying that God gives me strength and helps guide me through these next couple of weeks. I just pray that I have some guidance through these times.

Natalie and I have only been friends for four years, but this is so totally us.

Pixie Pants are on sale! Stock up, y'all. I am so in love with this pants. Everyone needs them.

Need a cheaper option for vests this season, check out these ones from Old Navy.

This sweater is number one on my (dream) wishlist right now.  (Or this one.)

Saturday Down South is one of my favorite places to get SEC news. (Hi, I would love a job in 6-7 years.) Recently they opened up their store, and I am obsessed. It's hard to find one place where you can get gear for all 14 teams, but since SDS is all about the SEC, they represent all 14 teams perfectly.

Here are my favorite picks from their shop!

Spirit Jersey | What girl can resist a spirit jersey? I know I can't! They come in all the school's colors and more neutral colors like gray, pink, and blue.

'Merica & Saban | If I know one thing, Bama fans love America and Nick Saban. This shirt is perfect for them.

Southern Born & Bred | This shirt is great for those people who just love the SEC. It comes in all of the teams' colors, so you can show your support for the best conference and still be a little biased.

Gus Do It | Malzahn may have only be at Auburn for two years, but he is already a coach for the record books. This shirt takes Nike's logo and puts a War Damn spin on it.

Always Gameday | If you actually live in the south, you know one thing is true...It's always gameday in the fall. Again this is available for all teams.

Happy shopping! And make sure you get your decal from SDSNation to support your team. :)

16 | Most People Don't Know This But...

-I had screws removed from my knees this summer. Without anesthesia.
-I am super into quarterbacks. Like they are my favorite players consistently.
-I almost always chop off my hair after I stop liking a boy. #problems
-I love math and history and Spanish. They are my favorite subjects.
-I used to wear sweatpants every day in middle school.
-I am really into true crime. Like weirdly into it.

Day Nine| Personality Type

I happen to know a ton about my personality since this is part of my research project for AP Lang.

I am a pretty decent poster child for ESTJ/gold personality. I am extroverted and need people to make decisions and have to be in charge all of the time. I am fully believe that I am right all the time (even though deep down I am not). I feel like this represents myself pretty well.

My mom described gold personalities as those who work until something is done and keep working. Which is pretty much true. I love working on stuff, and I love having it done well (usually if I really care about what I am doing). I prefer to be in charge and to follow the rules at all times.

What's your personality type? Do you know your true color?

Day Six | Currently...

... reading Catcher in the Rye. It's my first book for AP Language this year, and so far I like it. (But not Holden.)

... watching FOOTBALL! #GetUpForGameDay!!!

... listening starred playlist on Spotify. Lots and lots of dorky love songs.

... singing off key forever and always.

... trying to stay organized! Junior year and blogging is kicking my butt on the organization front.

... wishing it would actually get colder in Georgia. I have sweaters I want to wear. Or that I was at NYFW.

... tweeting all about college football.

... loving anything with stripes and skirts. I used to never wear skirts, but now they are all I wear!

... discovering that I am growing up! It's so weird to think about it.

... hoping that stop missing blog posts!

... praying for guidance through out Junior year, to get over my allergies, and for my family and friends.

... enjoying having the week off from working football games. I hate bye weeks because I love Friday nights with all my heart, but there's something nice about going home at 4 and being able to relax.

... addicted to ginger ale and lime popsicles.

... starting to think about writing my outline and doing my stat hw. Also upcoming outfit posts!

Happy Friday!! I am so excited that it's Friday. It's been a weird week... I hate four day weeks because everything just confuses me, tbh.

SEC Mascots College Football Painting 10x20 by AnnieLaurieArt, $30.00
With SEC football kicking off (GO CATS!), I've been pinning SEC stuff like crazy. This print is so cute, and I might order it soon.

Dear boys, let me buy these for you. *Insert heart eye emoji*

Spirit Week is coming up this month, and I am already planning my costumes. #favoriteweekever

I love how Shannon styled white jeans, and I am definitely considering looking for them. (Her blog posts have been so on point lately!!)

Saturday Down South recently opened their store, and I am so obsessed with everything! I am also super pumped that their decals are finally shipping.

Carly and Garrett are so adorable, and I just want to have a boyfriend like this one day.

Day Three | When I Grow Up...

I wanna be famous.
Just kidding. I've thought about what I wanted to be when I grow up a lot. It used to change quite frequently when I little. It went from ballerina to interior designer to PT. Recently, my career choice has been kinda clear. I'm not a 100% on exactly what I want to do, but I have a general idea.

I want to work for the SEC (or a SEC school) and work in their public relations/social media department. For a school, it's called sports information. I am really interested in how social media works into promoting a school and their athletic teams. I am super excited about trying to pursue this career.

But who knows? I have two more years until college. Everything may change in the next six years.

Day Two | Cause I'm Happy
