Note Inspiration

Okay this probably super weird, but I love looking at other people's notes and gaining ideas on how to take them. I had a "snow" day yesterday, and so obviously I was on Pinterest all day.  I seriously spent a good 30 minutes scrolling through pins of notes... Oops. Then I did my stat homework, so clearly my homework was pretty nice.

Life motto?

Here are some of the notes I found that got my Type A heart racing...

Okay y'all, here's the most important question: what are your favorite pens? I love G2 pens, but I don't like using them for school since they bleed through notebook paper. Right now, I use the InkJoy pens which a nice, but I wish they had a thinner point.

Baseball Begins

Last Wednesday, baseball officially began. Spring training started in both Arizona and Florida, and I couldn't be more happy. I do love football with all my heart as most Southerners do, but my first true love was baseball when I was ten, and it always will be. I live in Georgia, so my team of choice "should" be the Braves, but whatever. I am huge Philadelphia Phillies fan because I grew up in a Phillies household with my dad teaching me everything I know about the sport. One of the happiest times I have ever seen him was when they won the World Series in '08. He did his "dad dance." 'Nough said. I'll also root for the Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants mainly because some of my favorite players are on those teams, and my dad is cool with that. But like usual, I have a lot of favorite players on different teams, but I will never root for the Yankees.

I haven't planned on any games to go to this season, but hopefully I will see some games in Cincy or Pittsburgh over the summer when I go visit my dad. I could go see the Sox in Boston if I go see Will. Maybe see teams that I haven't seen play before or go stalk watch some of my favorite players. I do want to go to Turner Field this summer since it's the second to last season that it's opened since Atlanta is getting a new field. Maybe I'll go see minor league games. I know Dayton and Lexington have minor league teams. I am not sure what this summer will bring, but I hope it's full of baseball.

I'll leave you with my favorite baseball quote: There are three things in my life which I really love: God, my family, and baseball. The only problem - once baseball season starts, I change the order around a bit. -Al Gallagher, 1971

What's Been Going On?

Ha. Ha. I've been going for a while... Lots and lots have happened in the last two weeks. I turned 17 only 12 days ago. My dad came home for my winter "break" and then ended up going back up to Ohio since weather was awful. I went back to school and immediately got overwhelmed. Then I hurt my back. THEN I hurt my knee. (Tore my meniscus? We'll see, and please don't ask me how I did it.)  Life has definitely thrown its curve balls at me, and I am not about it. Clearly my motivation hasn't be large. I am having trouble studying, so blogging isn't going to come easy. I was watching Daria's new video, and I just decided that I wasn't going to give up.

I just sorta woke up. I am tired of being the person who is standing in the way. I am tired of giving up half way through. I am going to take life by the horns and give 'em hell. Hopefully.

Favorite Beauty Products

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo | I've had trouble finding a dry shampoo that I really love before, but I tried this stuff because I heard about it on YouTube. My hair gets super oily real quick, and I use this on second day hair to wear normally. Past two days it doesn't really help my hair, but I will use it to help diminish how oily my hair looks.

Toni & Guy Heat Protection Spray | I guess my sister left this in my bathroom, and I've started using it before I straighten my hair. I don't know if I can tell a difference in my hair, but I'll use anything to protect my hair from being damaged.

Beauty Protector Protect & Oil | I don't know how this works, but this stuff helps my hair stay clean. Also, it smells amazing. Enough said.

Herbal Essence Naked (Conditioner) | I am obsessed with this shampoo. I rarely buy the same stuff again, but I will with this stuff. Both of them smell amazing, and they don't weigh my hair down.

NYFW: Kate Spade

As always, I have major #FOMO over New York Fashion Week. I will be there one day. I promise. While scrolling through Pinterest and Twitter, one collection caught my eye: Kate Spade. Lots of pink, bows, and foxes (!!!!) aka right up my alley. I've never fallen in love with a collection so quickly, and while I am counting down the days till it's above 50 degrees, this Kate Spade collection will be in the back of my mind.

Dancing Queen

Yesterday was my 17th birthday. So obviously for the next year, I will be singing Abba. Aren't y'all pumped?? I was really excited to turn 17 because it means I should be getting my license soon. As a 17 year old, I will be a senior in high school and applying for college. I don't know why but 17 and 18 have always been these ages that I have looked forward to. Maybe it is because I had hoped that I would feel "older" by these ages. But guess what. I am 17 years old, and I have no idea what I am doing. At all. Oh well... maybe this year will be about figuring things out.

Selfie Game Strong

-Expanding the blog even more

Hope y'all have a good Thursday!!

Favorite Beauty Products

After Gracey shared her beauty favorites last month, it got me thinking about what I couldn't live without. It was kinda hard because I don't wear makeup a whole lot or do a ton to me hair. #lazyproblems But there are something that when I do put effort in, I am using all the time.

Today is part one of two. Today is all about make-up stuff, and tomorrow will be about hair.

Beauty Blender | Hashtag cheap. Mine is from Target, but it works just the same. Probably... This is such a favorite because it makes your foundation look so natural compared to streaky, and it helps make sure you hit all the place. In my opinion, it helps your makeup stay on longer.

Primer | I love this stuff because a. it's relatively cheap and b. it works. I can tell such a difference on how long my makeup lasts if I use this stuff. Put it on your eyes too, and eyeliner is always on point.

Red Rapture and Fuchsia Power
NYC Lipstick | Y'all this stuff is super pigmented, doesn't dry out your lips, and lasts all day. And the colors are so pretty. Seriously considering buying the rest of them. Fuchsia Power reminds me on the NYX matte lip cream in Addis Ababa except not matte, and Red Rapture is a darker red which I don't normally wear. Still love it.

Liquid Eyeliner | I am obsessed with this eyeliner, and I have been for a year. I found about it through YouTube, and it's one of the easiest eyeliner to apply, and it last for a long time. It doesn't smudge too much, and it's easy to fix if you make a mistake which I am all about.

Lip Butter | Another lip favorite. Again super pigmented and last a while, and when it does fade, it fades nicely if that makes sense. It's less shiny than the NYC lipstick, but it isn't matte. It's the perfect middle between the two.

What are your beauty favorites?

Enlances con SDS

Happy Friday!

One of my mom's former students owns this company, and I love it! I mean, we all know how much I love a good t-shirt. ;)

Too excited for Kentucky football. I love their Super Bowl commercials, and this one is fantastic.

Skirts have become my thing lately, but I don't own a lot. I am defs eyeing these from Old Navy.

While waiting for my mom, I read an article about Rifle Paper Co. which made fall in love with the company all over again.  As all southern girls should, I love the Derby print.

Buy Now for Spring

I may be way too early here, but I am dreaming of spring. Cold weather temps have got to go. I'm over it, so I am looking at pictures of flowers and sunshine and shorts, and I am craving spring again. With spring, comes new clothes. While these aren't my spring essentials, but these are things that I think are perfect additions to your wardrobe for spring. You've got to get them this season.
