Spirit Week + Homecoming

First... a life update... Again. Some of y'all may have noticed that I took a month long hiatus from blogging. Senior year got the best of me. Between the stressing about my actual classes, applying to college, and resisting senioritis, I had no time to blog. Well, I did, but I had no time to worry about coming up with ideas and actually write posts. But guess what? I sent in my last college application on Monday and my last transcript today. I. Am. Done. Now that I don't have to worry about that I can dedicate my time back to blogging. I am really excited about the upcoming months, and I cannot wait to share it with y'all! And now what you came here for...

Spirit Week + Homecoming! My senior year homecoming week was amazing. Spirit Week is my absolute favorite because I love dressing up and being ridiculously spirited. Our "theme" this year was Rope Up the Mustangs because that's who we were playing in football, so we had a Western Day and a Western themed homecoming dance.

Day 1: Jersey Day | Natalie and I both borrowed practice jerseys from our friends on the football team, which was really nice of them. I thought it was funny Natalie got a Defense one while I got an Offense one.

Day 2: Heroes vs. Villains | Anna and Christina were sharks from Jaws; the heroes they say. I did a pretty bad version of Captain America, but like if Cap went on a date??? I don't know.

Day 3: Decades: I don't have a photo from Wednesday, but I dressed up in a very preppy 80's way. #typical

Day 4: Western Day | Blame it all of my roots...

Day 5: Toga Day!!! | On Spirit Day, seniors wear togas, and it is the best day of all. I obviously had to make mine green and white (my school colors).

So happy I got to spend homecoming with my best friends. Since this is already pretty photo heavy, I'll share the rest of the photos some other day, but these are my favorites.

4 Tips for Saturdays in the South

Hey y'all! I hope you're having a wonderful Labor Day filled with relaxation and not packing away your whites. This past weekend I was in Athens spending the weekend with my best friend and touring the school. One of my favorite parts was going to my first regular season SEC football game! (I went to UK's Spring Game two years ago.) I absolutely loved spending my Saturday in Sanford, but I learned quite a few things about attending a football game. Here my top four tips:

Tip #1 Wear Sunscreen! And bring it with you! Even if you put it on before you leave, chances are that it will wear off by the time you leave the game. I definitely learned my lesson because now I have some burn lines that will be here for a while...

Tip #2 Hydrate Drinks are not allowed in side stadium to help prevent bring alcohol in and to make money, so drink lots of water before the game. It is super hot especially when you attend at noon game, and you will get dehydrate really quick if you don't drink any water before. Water is ridiculous expensive inside the stadium so keep that in mind.

Guess where I got burned?

Tip #3 Dress for the Weather Southerns are known to dress up for games, but there are so many ways you can dress up that don't include a dress but include shorts and a shirt. Also, cowboy boots are a staple, but they're also super hot! Wearing sandals and converse is perfect until it's actually fall.

Tip #4 Look Cute until the Pictures are Done Pics or it didn't happen, right? Well, staying cute in the melting sun can be hard, especially your hair. Take your pictures as soon as you get to the game then once that's done put your hair up. It's H-O-T and having your hair down will not help, so bring an extra hair tie to use once you've finished with pictures.

August 2015 Favorites

I'm slightly confused as to how August is over. I feel like I talk about this a lot, but August went by so fast. I swear I was just starting senior year, and now I am a month into it. What??? I contribute it to the fact that I love, love, love my class schedule, so my day goes by super quickly. BUT I AM SO EXCITED THAT IT IS SEPTEMBER. If y'all didn't know, fall is my favorite season, and September just means we are that much closer to fall. Before we get too into jumping for joy about fall, let's go back to August and talk about my favorites.

Senior Pictures // Here's a little preview of my senior pictures! My dad was home for a weekend, and he took them at my high school. The picture over there ----> is my absolute favorite. I'll show y'all the rest soon. ;)

Football // So for the next three months, expect this to be a favorite. I am so blessed to have been able to work with my high school team for the past three years, and I cannot believe it is my last season with them. The seniors especially are some of my favorite people, and I legitimately cannot picture my life without them. Plus college football starts this week! Follow me on insta/snapchat for some fun at UGA. :)

Hiking // Okay, so I only went hiking once this month, and I don't think you could really call it hiking. But I loved it nonetheless. There's this creek near where one of my best friends lives, and we hiked there for part of my AP Bio summer work. I hope I can do more of this kind of stuff once it is cooler.

Lilly Planner //  I don't want to bore you too much with this one because I want to do a full post about it, but say hi to my best friend this year.

Going B16 Or Going Home | Yay for being a senior! Yay for my best friends! Yay for almost being done with high school! I will stop being excited about senior year the day I graduate FYI.

Gallery Wall Inspiration

Bobby Pin Prints // C'est La Vie Print // Brushstroke Print

Can I just go to college and have my dream gallery wall? Can I just go to college? These are some of my favorite prints. The bottom three are from Society6, which if you just search through the website, you can find some amazing prints, and you can get them with frame. There's kind of a gold, blue, and pink theme going on, which I am totally okay with because those are my dorm colors for next year. (I think. It's a little far away...)
